1000 Years to Love

On our drive to school this morning, my teenaged daughter asked about the One Thousand Year Reign of Jesus. I love to talk theology, so it was a pleasant time together.

Scripture offers insight into that millennium… when Jesus will rule from David’s earthly throne…in Jerusalem. Believers will serve with Him, with “glorified bodies”…having already passed through our own judgment in heaven. But exactly what will we be doing here for a thousand years?

The Apostle Paul explained, in his letter to the Romans, that no one has an excuse for  rejecting God…creation points sufficiently to Him…demanding a response from each one!

But millions of aborted babies did not have a chance to see God’s creation!  Will they ever have their opportunity to respond to Him?  Some theorize that those who die as babies “automatically” receive eternal life. This would seem to defy God’s justice…even forcing loving parents to choose, many earthly years with their child…or infanticide to “ensure” eternal life. Others suggest that God’s elect, including those who die in infancy, will be brought to Him regardless of the length of their lives or their lack of ability to respond to Him.

I suspect that our just and loving Creator has another plan for all of the “lost” babies… to return to earth during that 1000 years and be raised in the loving arms of “mothers” like me. I will be perfectly suited then to that role…with my glorified body I won’t need food or sleep, will never fall ill…and won’t need to overcome my sinful nature…I’ll be the perfect Mom!

If the start of the eternal years is that exciting…we can look forward to them all!

“For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.” (Romans 1:19-20/ESV)

The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christ-followers to see God’s Big Picture and be a part of it!

No. It is appointed to man once to die and after that the judgment. Whatever God chooses to do with aborted babies, it is definitely not giving them a re-do on earth.

Then do you believe that God has predetermined which of the babies He will save (spiritually) and which He will not save? Resulting in: those He willed not to save being in Hell, and those He willed to save being in heaven?
