Black Americans have been dying by abortion in the millions…sixteen to date. Where is the outrage from our first president of color? Why aren’t civil rights leaders demanding justice? When will we hear enraged African American voices?
I have a dream…to open an orphanage, caring for babies without parents. Impossible here in America…as these infants are too often killed before birth! I realize there are thousands of abused and abandoned young children and teens in foster-care that need homes…but where are the babies?
26 years ago my husband and I looked into growing our family here in the US. We found waiting lists, uncertainty, and competition for adoptions. Eventually God blessed us with two daughters from India, one saved from abortion and the other given up by parents in poverty.
Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. expressed a dream fifty years ago…that someday we would be a nation that judged personal value by degree of character…not melanin. My girls are special, not because of their natural bronze skin tones… but because of their beautiful hearts!
Why do so many women, of all colors, kill their babies rather than wait out the nine months…to natural birth and adoption?
I’m still dreaming of that orphanage…a healthy home filled with children of all races growing into godly, loving, stable adults who respect life!
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6/ESV)
