I made an early childhood commitment to stand up to any bully that came my way. Bullies come in childish forms as often as adult. In my experience, females offend in this manner more than men, but both use the effective crush then disperse method of attacking others.
As a lifelong bully-fighter I have had to construct some parameters…as fighting them all would be impossible. So, when I recently encountered a fraud promoting her “ministry to hurting women”…I let her go. God will take care of her. I also try to remain low key in places where my children need to thrive. If someone doesn’t “like” me…that’s OK! I’ll stay out of their way as much as possible.
Warning: When bullies are challenged, they strike back…quick and hard! They do not like correction…and will immediately respond with their most vicious attack methods.
Bully-fighting is not a glamorous task…it is noxious and often nearly overwhelming. However, quiting is not an option. In fact the consistent stand for truth and fairness is the one weapon a bully cannot beat!
I have tried to teach my sons and daughters to stand…even if it results in personal loss.
When I’m gone, I hope to be remembered as a consistent bully-fighter…who did not quit!
