Jesus did not like hypocrites! He threw the greedy out of the Temple…calling even the religious leaders vipers, unwashed tombs, and bullies. His behavior towards these types might be disapproved of today…even amongst Christians!
Jesus is a bully-fighter! Yes!…I knew that’s where I got it from…I follow Jesus! He did not accept the self-appointed judges, the crowd pleasers, or false teachers who led the sheep astray.
The anger of Jesus had proper motivation…He was angry for the right reasons. When He saw the weak mistreated, He responded. When God’s Word was maligned, He reacted with the righteous indignation of God!
There are times when it seems too hard to live like Jesus…today I am weak and feel unable to continue. However, I have learned not to follow my feelings, and when tempted to quit, I review my trust in Jesus.
I know many of you are tempted to stop trusting…I encourage you to review the character of Jesus. He is our example…to be followed and emulated in all of this life!
“…My beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” (James 1:19-20/ESV)
The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christ-followers to see God’s Big Picture and be a part of it!
