I make no apologies for my Romney vote…though he was not my conservative first choice…that was Santorum.
I’m extending an “apology” for my previous blog, suggesting that it was wrong for some conservatives to withhold their votes, because of higher principles. I am beginning to understand your motivations.
This change of heart began when I started to blog, just days after the disappointing election loss to the Liberals again. Maybe it’s the higher level of attentiveness I’ve developed in order to write these postings…
For those who refused to vote for Romney, I sincerely apologize for my criticism and attempts to “correct” your thinking.
Republicans continue to waffle on conservative values for the prospect of votes…it has become too much to tolerate. I was “born” a Republican…first voted at age 18 for Gerald Ford…loved Reagan, was elected a Republican Delegate, and admittedly have a hard time criticizing the Party.
But today I repent for my misplaced “faith” in a political party. It took too long… but finally my patience has run out! If the Republicans do not stand strong on immigration, gun rights, natural marriage, and life…I will not vote for their candidates again!
I don’t know what God is doing to this nation…but I’m sure He is doing something! I hope His work is corrective and not destructive.
“He controls the course of world events; He removes kings and sets up other kings.” (Daniel 2:21/ESV)
