Hannity’s Hypocrisy

By: Susan Bea Good

Sean Hannity was called out this week in a Fox TV interview with a Liberal…she called his “Life” position hypocritical…which would permit abortions in cases of rape and incest because, as Hannity put it, “these women didn’t have a ‘choice’ in getting pregnant!”

The Pro-Choice community is consistent…standing on a woman’s “right” at any time, to be rid of the contents of her womb. The inconsistent Pro-Life community agrees on the value of most unborn babies…but there are yet some who don’t deserve protection…and the chance at life outside of their mother’s bodies.

In Hannity’s last hour on radio today, a male caller tried unsuccessfully to convince Sean that his position was in error. This man was conceived as the result of the violent rape of his birth mother.  He was given up for adoption and today expressed his gratitude for that life-choice.  Sean was not moved to change his position…still holding that a woman should not have to endure the pregnancy begun in such a manner.

I have known many women, myself included, who had difficult preganancies, either because of health, timing, finances, or family size…our time of gestating a little one was difficult.  Yet I have never known one woman who was benefited by the unatural death of her unborn child!  Three of my friends have delivered lifeless babies. Knowing weeks in advance that the heartbeat was gone…these women waited until their babies could be delivered. There is NEVER a need to dismember and extract an unborn baby!

Sean Hannity is a devout Catholic. That religious community has been a strong advocate for life’s preservation, regardless of circumstances.  I hope that Sean will rethink his position…because making excuses for abortion is hypocritical!

“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13/NLT)
