I’ve asked for an interview with a local black pastor. I had taken him to lunch, weeks before the 2012 presidential election, to ask where he stood on the race issue and politics.
I came away from that meeting very disappointed, and have grown more so in the months to follow, as I perceive black Christians praising an evil man…because of skin color.
These same Christians tell me, that they don’t personally approve of all this president does, but they must support him…because of skin color.
I’ve been told, that Obama’s presidency is monumentally important to the self-worth of the black community…because of skin color.
Frustration, is an understatement when describing how I feel these days, about the relationship between Blacks and Whites in America.
I hope to soon get the interview…and some clarity. What I’d really like, is to speak with one black Christian who can be honest about the man in the White House…regardless of his skin color!
“He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous,
are both alike, an abomination to the Lord.” (Proverbs 17:15/ESV)
