I recently offered someone the truth…it was not received well.
Soon after, someone offered me a truth…that in some cases it is neither welcome, needed, nor my responsibility.
I’m currently pondering this concept…that the responsibility to share truth is released when one knows that it will be rejected by a rebellious recipient.
I understand that truth is best offered in the right place, at the right time, and with the right motive…realizing that even when all of these “rights” are aligned, it can still be refused.
What should be refused is the rebellion, which willfully rejects truth, even attempting to turn the sharing of it into a wrong. Because right is never wrong.
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15/ESV)
