If Only It Was a Nightmare

By: Susan Bea Good

Breaking Bad’s Walter White died a violent death after years of producing illegal narcotics…or was that all just a nightmare? An alternate-ending for the series has shown up online, and almost immediately been pulled. As of this morning only a screen shot can be grabbed.

If only our present national reality was just a bad dream. We might then wake up with a fresh new perspective on value and freedom…and go forward with a more positive focus than the one we had before we went down to rest.

Sadly, our present national condition is reality. Many are just beginning to realize that Washington’s decisions affect everyone…often badly.

The election of Barak Obama put a mark on history…obscured to most for a time, but is becoming clearer as monthly scandals break. For decades Liberals have been ravaging the fundamentals of this nation. Four years ago the President promised to double down on that effort, and has been successful in doing just that!

The 2014 elections hold out a small hope for healing remedies. Great damage has already been done…some of which will affect our economy for generations to come. If we don’t soon revive ourselves there will be little to recognize of this once free and prosperous nation…and there may never be an awakening from this national nightmare.

“So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.” (I Thessalonians 5:6/ESV)

The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christ-followers to see God’s Big Picture and be a part of it.
