Joni Eareckson-Tada…are you familiar with this precious Christ-follower? If not, you would be blessed to catch up on the life of this lovely lady.
Joni became a quadriplegic after a diving accident in her teens. She struggled to find the desire to go on living with a useless body. Her testimony includes revelation of her early, very bold, questioning of God’s character.
Now in her sixties, Joni has passed through most of the “deep waters” that this life could contain. I’ve followed her from the beginning, and so appreciate the grace she now exudes with every word she speaks. Clearly communicating God’s love and faithfulness is the masterpiece she allowed Him to make of her life.
Recently Joni sang the theme song for the film “Alone Yet Not Alone.” I’ve read the book, and look forward to the movie’s release this summer. The song had been nominated for an Oscar, but had that rescinded, due to improper communication from the author. When asked for a comment, Joni responded with grace and godliness…with no suggestions of bias or conspiracy…just a clear communication of her confidence in God’s sovereignty.
“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” (Colossians 4:6/ESV)
The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christ-followers to see God’s Big Picture and be a part of it.
