Your Opinions Count

By: Susan Bea Good

This morning I received mail from Reince Priebus. The envelope was official looking, so I opened it right away. Inside was my very own personal 2014 Republican Platform Survey. I had been chosen to share my opinions, representing thousands of Republicans in my District.

So, my opinion counts? My conservative views matter to today’s Republican Party?

I’ve been voting Republican since 1976, our nation’s bi-centennial year. My political views started out “inherited”…I voted for my parent’s Party. That changed quickly as I began the struggle to survive as a newlywed in Liberal Jimmy Carter’s inflationary, gas and job shortage, 18% mortgage interest rate’s climate. I soon developed my own strong opinions on government and its impact on my life!

The survey asked all the right questions. I offered all the right answersRepublican Convention: Repeal Obamacare, Reverse Roe v. Wade, Close the borders, No citizenship for illegals, Lower taxes, Live within a budget, Strengthen the military, Stay involved in the world, Show strength internationally, and Encourage private business to flourish.

If Reince listens to me the country will be set right very soon. Thank you very much!

“…in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect…” (I Peter 3:15/ESV)

The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christ-followers to see God’s Big Picture view and be a part of it.
