Whenever I have the opportunity I testify of God’s goodness. He is a good God!
When life is hard, God’s goodness is even more apparent. Since His attributes are full (100%) at all times, I can’t say that His goodness has increased when I needed it most. In fact the one thing that has increased is my own awareness of His presence.
Situations that seem unbelievable and intolerable are the very times when God reveals His grace, compassion, and strength to us. He has not changed, but we have been granted the opportunity to see and feel His power over life. It is a marvelous situation to experience.
Some say that life seems richer when they experience it threatened, by skydiving, climbing a Mt. Everest, or swimming with sharks. I say that life is richest when an individual determines to walk side by side with their Creator, through the paths He has set up, trusting Him with the hows and whys of it all.
This week I witnessed my first born child being sentenced to prison. Monday was surreal, ending with a parking ticket on my car. Due to the “badness” of that day I am provided with another opportunity to testify to the goodness of God, as He is in control of the hows and whys of a mother losing a son, and the complications that brings into everyday living.
I trust God with my path and have found Him able to turn every bad day into good!
“Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with their whole heart…” (Psalm 119:2/ESV)
