I write to encourage Christ-followers to see God’s Big Picture, and be a part of it. Unlike many bloggers, I try not to use sarcasm, name calling, vulgar language, or shock tactics. I sincerely want to incite readers to look straight-on at current events, seeing them from God’s point of view, without being overwhelmed by fear.
It is becoming evident that we are living in some mighty bad days. America has been spared from much of the world’s suffering for so long, and it had seemed that we’d continue to escape the degree of terror others face daily. Like many Christ-followers, I have observed both in Scripture, and in today’s world, that God deals harshly with nations that have turned away from Him.
Many believe God is also removing His blessing on America, because we have not repented in general, and in particular for our love of abortion. That contemptible behavior must set His face against us, and yet it seems His patience has been long.
That appears to be changing though, as it seems that God’s hand of protection is being lifted from this nation. But, like the frog in a pot of slowly heated water does not comprehend the severity of his situation until it’s too late, our nation may have waited too long to repent.
Presently we find ourselves six years into the consequential leadership of a lying, incompetent, anti-christ President…placed in that office by a majority of the citizens (I am not calling the Commander-in-Chief names, just stating the facts).
The results of this Obama presidency are becoming clear, our nation is dying. Is it already too late for revival? Have we waited too long to repent?
Those who love the Lord and His Word, who do not participate in the pervasive evils our society glorifies, have a valuable role to play as this civilization ends. As God removes His favor on our nation, Believers can still be His “light” in the world.
We know that eventually He will remove all witness of Himself…and for a time this world will achieve what they have claimed was their goal, “freedom” to rebel against God without consequence.
The Believer’s hope is that Jesus will finally judge unrepentant rebellion, and rule with mercy and justice…offering His true freedom and security to all who turn to Him!
Until then, let’s keep His Big Picture in view, not turning away in fear, but actively seeking to be a part of His plan for these last terrible days!
“The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment…” (2 Peter 2:9/ESV)
The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christ-followers to see God’s Big Picture and be a part of it.
