Every Choice Imaginable: 2016 Republican Candidates

By: Susan Bea Good

I am drawn to the story of Ben Carson.

Marco Rubio has an interesting story as well.

I admire Ted Cruz and his determination to stand on conservative principles.

Carly Fiorina is a shrewd and successful business manager.

Rand Paul has a unique view on conservative issues.

This morning Mike Huckabee declared his candidacy for President with the theme “From Hope to Higher Ground.” Huckabee’s message is comprehensive, self made, strong, innovative, conservative, and successful. But what makes him the frontrunner for me is not his pronounced intentions, but my hope that he is the one candidate that may actually be able to accomplish a remedy for America.

We need a leader who is both willing and able to stand, fight, and follow through with policy changes necessary to save our failing nation. Candidates with good intentions, wavering messages, and incomplete plans are not needed. The eventual Republican field will offer every choice imaginable.

There will be no need to “settle” during this Primary season. However, if Conservatives do not speak up now, and vote in the Primaries, there will be a moderate Republican candidate in November 2016.

“Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for me against evildoers? Unless the Lord had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death. When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ Your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me,  Your consolation brought me joy.”(Psalm 94:16-19/ESV)

The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christ-followers to see God’s Big Picture and be a part of it. Adonai Eloheinu!
