Bruce Jenner’s Softest Side

“Caitlyn” Jenner

By: Susan Bea Good

Bruce Jenner is spiritually sick, as his cover photo for Vanity Fair magazine proves, “Caitlyn” is very seriously confused.

In the US, a prospective surgical-transexual is required to undergo psychological counseling to determine their candidacy for sex-reassignment surgery. Bruce Jenner revealed, in his interview with Diane Sawyer last month, that he has already completed these requirements, and is planning to have his natural male genitalia surgically altered to “artificial-female” in the spring.

Since the beginning I have reacted to this story with a resounding, “No!” Bruce Jenner is a likable guy, it’s very sad that he has descended into this hellish situation. This sadness is compounded by the company he keeps, his own family members… who don’t love him enough to tell him, “No!”

Bruce claims to be a Christian, therefore I consider him to be my “brother” in Christ. I’ll never have a chance to speak to Mr. Jenner personally, but I do care about him, and hope that he changes his mind, and finally overcomes the confusion he has suffered under for most of his life.

Jenner has stated that, “As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.” I expect that quite the opposite effect will occur, as the terrible burden of living contrary to God’s Word is going to be far worse than the discomfort of gender-confusion.

American Family Association radio host Bryan Fischer has demonstrated the kindest approach possible towards Bruce Jenner at this time. He advocates that Christ-followers sincerely pray for this man, rather than ridicule him for his sad condition. I’m going to do this.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9/ESV)

The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christ-followers to see God’s Big Picture and be a part of it. Adonai Eloheinu!
