Who Has a Truth Problem in the Republican Race?

Who’s the Liar?

By: Susan Bea Good

“A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech, winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, points with his finger, with perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord; therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly, in a moment he will be broken beyond healing.” (Proverbs 6:12-15/ESV)

Senator Ted Cruz is not a liar!  Marco Rubio and Donald Trump are liars!

If those statements made you squirm you may be in need of a reset to your ethical standards.

This election cycle has witnessed a Republican frontrunner willing to twist any set of facts into tangled masses which only the most diligent would be able to decipher. Ironically I believe this character’s pathological lying is actually holding him back in his effort to gain the nomination for President. His current self-blinded followers will never acknowledge their guy’s truth-problem. However, there are many who might have joined his blustery campaign if he had not already repelled them with his lying.

Marco Rubio is another opportunistic politician who will lie to win. This tactic should catch up with him soon, and when it does he will slink away into the bowels of the national republican organization, reappearing in a few years with another persona.

There is now just one leading candidate with a strong and steady character. He’s the one who just courageously fired his national spokesperson for releasing false information on another candidate. Ted Cruz is the one who fights for freedom, and has the track record of a leader who will not cave on any issue, no matter the pressure!

The rising support for Ted Cruz is due to this honesty. Isn’t it ironic that the candidate with the most integrity is the one being attacked daily on this very issue. Trump repeats over and over that “Cruz lies more than anyone I’ve ever known!” Really Donald Trump?…because I cannot find even one lie from the honorable Senator from Texas. How do you and Marco Rubio find so many?

It is fascinating how lies are spread. This morning I heard Todd Starnes’ daily radio commentary. Todd usually shares a conservative take on things, but this morning he scolded Ted Cruz directly over the spokesperson issue, suggesting Cruz is not being a good Christian. For many this type of commentary cements a view, in this case unjust, which is not easily rectified. Lies come in many forms. Trump and Rubio lie outright. Many on FOX News lie in a more acceptable form, obfuscating the truth, focusing instead on ambiguous reports which can lead the viewer to a false conclusion. How many trust FOX’s take on everything?!

The bottom line is: Lying about a man’s character is theft!

Here’s truth from a reliable source.

Here’s some truth from an odd source.
