A Five Carat Lie

By: Susan Bea Good

“What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, you deceitful tongue?
A warrior’s sharp arrows, with glowing coals of the broom tree!” (Psalm 120:3-4/ESV)

Hint to women who are looking to purchase a faux stone ring and pass it off as genuine; don’t go for the 5-carat!

Last week a long-time close friend to Donald Trump released a hit story claiming that Ted Cruz cheated on his wife with five women…and kept these as mistresses! The accusation is so outrageous only the most dense Trumpets will believe it. However, because there are so many dense Trumpets in the media (check FOX News these days) these lies about Cruz gain traction and affect the voters’ abilities to discern truth.

If Trump’s friends had put out a smaller lie it would have been more effective. As we all know nobody is perfect, that means Ted Cruz is not perfect. However, it is beyond believable that a man with Cruz’ longstanding excellent moral reputation would actually be someone else!

Trump however, is “someone else.” By his own admissions (and those of his new found friend Dr. Ben Carson) Trump can be whomever he needs to be. He can change. Believe him, he is changeable!

I think we all know who’s responsible for the false rumors of Cruz-infidelities. That person should never hold a public office of trust. #NeverTrump!

This blogger’s hope is to be an encouragement to Christ-followers as they recognize God’s Big Picture and purpose to participate in it.

You have a lot of opinions for a humble Christian woman. Allahu Akbar!
